A superb William Moorcroft ‘Moonlit Blue’ bowl, dating to circa 1924, and widely regarded as one of the most desirable designs from the early 20th century.

 

This beautifully formed Moorcroft art pottery dish features the iconic Moonlit Blue pattern, with its rich cobalt ground and softly rendered landscape motif, exemplifying the distinctive style and craftsmanship that made William Moorcroft one of the most celebrated ceramic artists of his time.

 

The piece bears impressed factory marks to the base along with the green painted “WM” initials, confirming authenticity and period.
