This is a large and highly attractive deco vase from the Nippon company, later to become Noritake.
 
Well marked to the base with an M-in-Wreath, hand-painted (''M'' stands for importer,
 
Morimura Bros.); found in green, blue, and magenta & gold.
 
Mark used since 1911.
 
This wonderful example has a landscaped design running around the entire vase with profuse floral decoration in raised enamelling. Gilded handles and rim with some wear consistent with age, the body and main decoration are in very good condition. Vibrant sectioned borders to the base and under the neck finish off this large and very eye-catching example.
