Rare Meissen Kakiemon Tea Bowl & Saucer (1730–1735) – in the manner of J.E. Stadler

An exceptional early Meissen porcelain set featuring a tea bowl and saucer beautifully decorated in the sought-after Kakiemon style. This rare example showcases a finely painted Chinoiserie figure with fans, accompanied by delicate birds and surrounded by a vibrant Kakiemon palette—an outstanding demonstration of Meissen artistry from the 1730s.

Both pieces carry the early Meissen crossed swords mark in underglaze blue, along with the impressed Dreher’s marks (asterisk) attributed to Gottfried Benjamin Bergmann (Rückert, 1990, p. 102), confirming authenticity and historical significance.

Offered in excellent condition, with only a tiny chip to the foot rim of the tea bowl—mentioned for complete accuracy.

Dimensions:

Saucer: 11.8 cm diameter × 2.4 cm height

Tea Bowl: 7.2 cm diameter × 3.9 cm height

A superb addition for collectors of early Meissen, Kakiemon porcelain, and 18th-century European ceramics. Rare to find in such fine condition.
