Magnificent Chelsea Style 19Th/20thc Pr Of Vases Painted With Birds Of Paradise. Each fabulous hand-painted vase has five panels, each with a bird of paradise beautifully painted in each section. The shoulders are profusely decorated with butterflies, and a floral border surrounds the neck. Gilded borders decorate across both vases, with some wear to the gilding as expected with age. These are highly decorative and of a good size, each standing 22cm in height breadth of 12 cm. Unmarked, probably French and of a high quality.
